Welcome to a little bit more...

I recently read this quote in Gary Thomas' book Every Body Matters and I thought "THIS is what I want!  THIS is why I'm here on this earth! and THIS is why I write on this blog.  It's actually a quote from another book written by Kristin Armstrong (former wife of Lance) where she writes about putting her life back together after her divorce, and rediscovering her faith in the process.

"Kristin testifies, "There is no transformation more deep or mysterious than when the Holy Spirit takes up residence within and begins to shine through.  You are softer and lovelier than ever, yet you have never been stronger or more certain and direct.  You are becoming an amalgamation of all the facets of woman that God intended when He created Eve."

deep and mysterious...
soft and lovely...
strong, certain and direct...

I believe with all my heart that as I seek to listen to the Holy Spirit, read the Word and follow where the Lord leads me, I will become the woman He has planned in advance for me to be.

It will take work, but it will bring more peace than doing nothing could ever provide.

I hope that as I share my learnings with you in this little piece of community, we can both take steps to letting the Spirit take up residence and shine through our lives - a little bit more each day.
